Activities of parents and parent committees

1. General meetings of parents:

At đá bóng trực tiếp beginning of đá bóng trực tiếp school year, đá bóng trực tiếp homeroom teacher must conduct đá bóng trực tiếp parent-teacher conference to establish đá bóng trực tiếp class parent committee with đá bóng trực tiếp number of đá bóng trực tiếp committee prescribed in Point a, Clause 1, Article 3 of this Charter. Parent-teacher conferences must be held at đá bóng trực tiếp beginning of đá bóng trực tiếp school year, upon đá bóng trực tiếp end of đá bóng trực tiếp first semester, đá bóng trực tiếp end of đá bóng trực tiếp school year and when requested by at least 50% of đá bóng trực tiếp parents in đá bóng trực tiếp class.

What are đá bóng trực tiếp regulations onthe organization of parent committeesin Vietnam?

According to Article 3 of đá bóng trực tiếp Charter of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee issued withCircular 55/2011/TT-BGDDT, đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee is organized as follows:

-Parent committees of classes:

+ Each class must have one class parent committee consisting of 3 - 5 members, including a chairperson and a vice-chairperson.

+ Members of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a class should be enthusiastic and responsible persons, who will cooperate with đá bóng trực tiếp homeroom teacher, subject-specific teachers and đá bóng trực tiếp school in organizing educational activities for students;

- Parent committees of schools:

+ Each school must have one parent committee consisting of a chairperson, vice-chairpersons and standing members if necessary.

+ Members of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a school are chairpersons or vice-chairpersons of đá bóng trực tiếp class parent committees.

+ đá bóng trực tiếp number of vice-chairpersons and standing members (if any) of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee shall be decided in đá bóng trực tiếp meeting of chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of class parent committees.

- đá bóng trực tiếp term of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a class or a school is one year. đá bóng trực tiếp term of a parent committee ends at đá bóng trực tiếp beginning of đá bóng trực tiếp next school year; đá bóng trực tiếp term of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a senior class ends at đá bóng trực tiếp end of đá bóng trực tiếp school year.

- Members of a parent committee can be changed or added at request of its chairperson. đá bóng trực tiếp change or addition of members of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a class shall be decided by parents of đá bóng trực tiếp class. đá bóng trực tiếp change or addition of members of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a school shall be decided by đá bóng trực tiếp whole committee.

- Parent committees shall work by principle of consensus. đá bóng trực tiếp discussions and approvals made during meetings of đá bóng trực tiếp parent representatives committees shall be recorded in writing.

Additionally, theparent committee of a class also has duties and powers as stipulated in Article 4 of đá bóng trực tiếp Charter of đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee issued withCircular 55/2011/TT-BGDDTas follows:

- đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a class has đá bóng trực tiếp responsibility to:

+ Cooperate with đá bóng trực tiếp homeroom teacher and subject-specific teachers in organizing educational activities for students;

+ Cooperate with đá bóng trực tiếp homeroom teacher in preparing for đá bóng trực tiếp parent-teacher conferences during đá bóng trực tiếp school year;

+ Take part in ethics education for students; foster excellent students, help underperforming students, encourage dropouts to come back to school; help poor students, disabled students and other disadvantaged students.

- đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee of a class has đá bóng trực tiếp right to:

+ Convene parent-teacher conferences in accordance with regulations prescribed in Article 9 of this Charter (except for đá bóng trực tiếp first meeting at đá bóng trực tiếp beginning of đá bóng trực tiếp school year, during which đá bóng trực tiếp parent committee is established) after reaching agreement with đá bóng trực tiếp homeroom teacher;

+ Enquire parents about đá bóng trực tiếp methods for management and education of students to propose specific measures to đá bóng trực tiếp homeroom teacher and subject-specific teachers in order to improve đá bóng trực tiếp quality of knowledge and ethics education;

+ Cooperate with đá bóng trực tiếp homeroom teacher in organizing extracurricular activities, education of tradition, culture, art and sport activities to provide comprehensive education for students.
