According to Article 104 of đá bóng trực tiếpLabor Code 2019, đá bóng trực tiếp provision on bonuses is as follows:
Bonuses
1. A bonus means an amount of money, a piece of property or item that is provided by an employer for his/her employees on đá bóng trực tiếp basis of đá bóng trực tiếp business performance or đá bóng trực tiếp employees’ performance.
2. A bonus regulation shall be decided and publicly announced at đá bóng trực tiếp workplace by đá bóng trực tiếp employer after consultation with đá bóng trực tiếp representative organization of employees (if any).
According to đá bóng trực tiếp above regulation, contractual teachers are employees. Therefore, đá bóng trực tiếp employer (đá bóng trực tiếp school) is not required to give bonuses on Christmas 2024.

How many days off arecontractual teachers in Vietnam entitled to during đá bóng trực tiếp Christmas holiday?
Currently, there is no statutory provision for đá bóng trực tiếp Christmas holiday. However, according to Article 112 of đá bóng trực tiếpLabor Code 2019, đá bóng trực tiếp regulation is as follows:
Public holidays
1. Employees shall be entitled to fully paid days off on đá bóng trực tiếp following public holidays:
a) Gregorian Calendar New Year Holiday: 01 day (đá bóng trực tiếp 1stof January of đá bóng trực tiếp Gregorian calendar);
b) Lunar New Year Holidays: 05 days;
c) Victory Day: 01 day (đá bóng trực tiếp 30thof April of đá bóng trực tiếp Gregorian calendar);
d) International Labor Day: 01 day (đá bóng trực tiếp 1stof May of đá bóng trực tiếp Gregorian calendar);
dd) National Day: 02 days (đá bóng trực tiếp 2ndof September of đá bóng trực tiếp Gregorian calendar and đá bóng trực tiếp previous or next day);
e) Hung Kings Commemoration Day: 01 day (đá bóng trực tiếp 10thof đá bóng trực tiếp third month of đá bóng trực tiếp Lunar calendar).
2. Foreign employees in Vietnam are entitled to 01 traditional public holiday and 01 National Day of their country, in addition to đá bóng trực tiếp public holidays stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article.
3. đá bóng trực tiếp Prime Minister shall decide đá bóng trực tiếp specific public holidays mentioned in Point b and Point dd Clause 1 of this Article on an annual basis.

Weekly breaks
1. Each week an employee is entitled to a break of at least 24 consecutive hours. Where it is impossible for đá bóng trực tiếp employee to have a weekly day off due to đá bóng trực tiếp work cycle, đá bóng trực tiếp employer has đá bóng trực tiếp responsibility to ensure that on average đá bóng trực tiếp employee has at least 04 days off per month.

Thus, contractual teachers are employees. Therefore, rest periods shall follow đá bóng trực tiếp provisions of đá bóng trực tiếp Labor Code.
Thus, Christmas 2024 does not fall within đá bóng trực tiếp publicholiday. Therefore,contractual teachers will not have a day off on Christmas 2024.
Note: Christmas festivities usually take place in đá bóng trực tiếp evening after work hours, so teachers can fully spend time with family on this significant year-end day.
